when i was in budapest, i saw a nice "above" peice displayed below a now defunkt aeroflot sign. above is a graff artist, and aeroflot is the russian airlines. the link is to an interview at cowndozen.com and has a few of his arrows shown in context. i like him, he is different.

speaking of different i checked out banksy's book a few days ago. its a really nice book, and it has lots of pictures, and some of his 'in-jest' statements (like the back-cover quote from the Metropolitan Police that says "There is absolutely no way we are going to give you a quote for the cover of your book.") are truelly jestfull, but mostly? it sucks.

hes got really good ideas for bridging the urban arts of culture jamming and graffiti- and some of them so bright, he should really focus on them- but then you combine those with poorly thought out "theory" quotes, and it becomes some kid doing publicity stunts. (go ahead and google him. hes the guy who altered the content in the ny museums, he just did a show in london, he has a book in mass publication, he just designed the cover of the new blur album and he likes the word 'brandalism'.)
